The 2018 NWSPR Educational Conference will be held in Bellevue, WA from October 5-6. NWSPR strives to meet the challenges and opportunities of the evolving healthcare environment, our informational needs are greater than ever before. The necessary evolution of Medical Staff Development Planning has been profound.  What started as a very compliance-oriented exercise in the 1990s began to include the strategic needs of sponsoring hospitals over the past decade. Now hospitals and health systems must also consider the realities of a post-reform, population health model of care in developing their Plan.

  • 2B: What Physicians Want vs. Placement Trends

This presentation examines the recruiting salaries and offers being accepted by physicians, as compared to physicians’ practice preferences expressed in our most   recent annual Physician Practice Survey.

Sarah Ledbetter is a Seattle-based Physician Recruiter with Providence Health & Services who launched her career in the healthcare industry with Swedish Medical Group in 2012.  Six years, three healthcare organizations, and hundreds of hiring managers, executives, and clinical staff members later, she has decided that the most rewarding aspect of her work is building relationships with her partners, even the relationships that started out (or continue to be in!) in the rockiest and fieriest of pits.

  • Sourcing for Challenging Locations: A guide to locating a unicorn

Melinda O’Bryan, Director of Custom Sourcing, PracticeMacth. Melinda O’Bryan has worked in the Physician Sourcing & Recruitment industry for 16+ years. Melinda began her career sourcing candidates for a small locally owned recruitment firm and went on to work as a recruiter for a large multi-industry recruitment firm.

Most healthcare facilities know what it takes to create a high-tech, patient friendly environment. But are they prepared for the complexity of marketing to patients and providers? Regardless of the size of the facility or ownership structure, navigating the world we call digital marketing can make or break a facility.

Conference registration is now open! We anticipate this year’s conference to sellout again and encourage you to register as soon as possible. For ease of payment we have set-up a PayPal link to accept debit and credit cards.

2018 Scholarship

NWSPR was founded in the spirit of helping in-house physician recruiters to expand their network and knowledge. To pay it forward we are offering two all-expense paid scholarships to the 2018 NWSPR Educational Conference. To enter simply refer a colleague who did not attend last year’s conference. If they register for the 2018 NWSPR conference you and your colleague referral will be entered into the scholarship drawing. Winners will be announced on September 1, 2018. (Airfare, hotel, and conference registration not to exceed $1000.00)
